Beauty Buzz: Demi-Turbans

We have a dirty little secret to share: we hate washing our hair!  We are part of that growing pack of ladies who only wash their hair every few days (or sometimes once a week) which, thanks to the miracle of dry shampoo, is totally possible.   If some of you are reading this and thinking were disgusting (our boyfriend already does) check out this article in The New York Times it seems were not alone.  In addition to our unhealthy addiction to dry shampoo, we combat the oily appearance of our mane with a few well-placed hair accessories like the demi-turban.  The full turban rocked Jason Wus Spring 2011 runway and caused quite a stir when Salma Hayek wore it to Stella McCartneys Paris show but most pretty young things like stylist Marina Munoz and the models on Vena Cava and Millys Spring 2011 runways are embracing the demi-turban as their headgear of choice.  Part scarf, part turban, this accessory wraps nicely around the crown and for those of you who have also chosen to abandon the shampoo, works like a temporary shield for your unwashed mop top.   We found a few demi-turban options that are a great way to get into the trend OR you can watch this video from Because Im Addicted and learn three ways to make your very own demi-turban look with one simple silk scarf.
