Gallianos Trial Commences in Paris, LVMH Finds Replacement: John Gallianos trial got started in Paris last week. The highlights: he had a triple addiction to sleeping pills, alcohol and Valium, he has no recollection of his tirade of anti -Semitic remarks and we have to wait until September 8th to hear a final verdict on the matter. Since he was already fired from Dior back in March and also from his eponymous label in April, the fashion world waits to see who LVMH will hire to replace him. Despite rumours that Galliano may be rehired, LVMH announced on Monday that they had chosen Bill Gaytten (who worked alongside Galliano for 23 years) as the new creative director of the John Galliano label. {Telegraph UK}
